P-Shot vs. Oral ED Medications: Which Treatment is Right for You?

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) Treatments: P-Shot vs. Oral Medications

Erectile dysfunction (ED) is a common health concern for men that can impact confidence, intimacy, and overall quality of life. Fortunately, there are a variety of effective treatments available suited to best fit your needs and overall health. At Lowcountry Male, we offer both oral ED medications and the innovative Priapus Shot (P-Shot).

While both options can help improve your sexual performance, they work in very different ways. With the support of our clinical staff and your healthcare physician, understanding the differences will allow you to make more informed decisions.

How the Treatments Work

At Lowcountry Male, the oral ED medications we offer are Sildenafil (Viagra), Vardenafil, and Tadalafil. By increasing nitric oxide, these medications work to improve blood circulation, resulting in firmer, longer-lasting erections and enhanced sexual performance.

Related: Which Oral ED Medication Is Best for You?

The P-Shot uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP), derived from your own blood. PRP contains natural growth factors that add firmness, intensify erections, and generally improve sexual health. Unlike oral medications, the P-shot is better equipped for long-term erections, penile health, and regenerative function.

Onset of Results

The different ED oral medications have different onset times:

  • Viagra (Sildenafil) typically takes effect within an hour and usually lasts for three to four hours
  • Tadalafil must be taken 30 minutes before sexual activity or continuously as directed by your doctor
  • Vardeafil must be taken 30 minutes to an hour before sexual activity and lasts up to 4-5 hours.

Related: Comparing Tadalafil and Vardenafil

The P-Shot results vary from man to man. In many cases, it is not a one-time treatment and often requires a series of P-Shot injections spaced over several months to achieve and maintain the desired results. While this approach takes more time, the benefits may last 12-18 months after a single treatment cycle.

Benefits Beyond Erections

Oral Medications:

  • Improved blood flow to the penis
  • Decreased recovery time between orgasms

P-Shot:

  • Increased sensitivity and sexual satisfaction
  • Stronger and more intense orgasms
  • Higher stamina during sex
  • Increased girth and length due to improved blood flow
  • 100% natural since you’re using your own plasma

Side Effects & Considerations

Oral medications:

Some men may experience side effects such as headaches, flushing, nasal congestion, or dizziness. If you have certain heart conditions or are taking nitrates, these medications might not be safe. Always discuss your medical history with a provider before use.

P-Shot:

Because the P-Shot uses your own plasma, it is considered a low-risk treatment. Mild soreness, swelling, or bruising at the injection site may occur, but serious complications are rare when handled by a qualified professional.

Which Option is Right for You?

The decision depends on your health history, goals, and overall lifestyle.

  • Oral medications may be a good option if you want an as-needed solution with fast results.
  • The P-Shot may be better suited if you want a regenerative, long-term approach to improving erectile function and overall sexual wellness.

In some cases, a combined approach could provide the best outcome.

Talk to a Specialist

At Lowcountry Male, we take a personalized approach to men’s health. Our providers will review your medical history, conduct a comprehensive evaluation, and help determine whether oral ED medication, the P-shot, or a combination of both is right for you.

PRP Treatments for Erectile Dysfunction: A Refreshed Approach

Using PRP for Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile dysfunction can significantly decrease a man’s quality of life and overall emotional satisfaction if not appropriately treated. While there are many drugs on the market today that address the issue at the moment, they aren’t for everyone, and certainly not for those who want a drug-free way to improve their sexual performance. Fortunately, a new medical procedure known as PRP therapy has taken the sexual health industry by storm, allowing more men to experience their best sex without the need for drugs.

What is PRP?

Platelet-rich plasma, or PRP, is a component of blood that promotes healing and tissue regeneration. PRP therapy works by taking a small sample of your blood, separating the platelets from other blood components through a centrifuge, and injecting the concentrated platelet solution back into the treatment area. While PRP is used for a variety of treatments, such as tendon injuries, hair growth, and surgery recovery, it’s also commonly used to treat a host of sexual health ailments like ED and Peyronie’s disease.  Learn More: Is the P-Shot Right for Me?

How is PRP Used for Erectile Dysfunction?

Blood comprises four main components: red blood cells, white blood cells, plasma, and platelets. Plasma, the liquid part of your blood, makes up about half of its volume. Platelets, the core components of PRP, are critical to your blood clotting properly after an injury. Platelets also contain proteins called growth factors, which help speed up healing.  PRP works in the penis by making the tissues and blood vessels stronger and healthier over time. When your blood sample is taken, it is spun in a centrifuge, which separates the plasma and platelets from the other parts of your blood. The product is a mixture with a much higher concentration of platelets than regular blood. This solution is then injected into your penis in what is called the Priapus Shot, or P-Shot. The P-Shot is typically a quick procedure, and we will often have you in and out of our clinic in an hour. An additional benefit is that you won’t have to do anything in advance to prepare for this procedure.

Frequently Asked Questions About the P-Shot

Is the P-Shot Safe?

Yes, the P-Shot is a safe procedure for men, and unlike other ED treatments, it does not come with a host of negative side effects. Since the injection is done with your own blood plasma, there isn’t a risk of allergic reactions or unexpected adverse effects.

What Do P-Shots Help With?

In general, this procedure can handle a host of issues associated with a lack of sensation in the penis and lowered libido. More specifically, The P-Shot is used to treat ED, premature ejaculation, Peyronie’s Disease, low sex drive, Lichen Sclerosus, and a host of other sexual health issues.

How Long Do P-Shot Results Last?

The lasting effects of the P-Shot typically run about 12 to 18 months. While the results aren’t permanent, they are longer lasting than many other treatments, including medications and supplements. Generally, we recommend that men have regularly scheduled annual treatments to maintain consistent results.

Is the P-Shot Right for Every Patient?

This treatment is a healthy alternative to many other treatments, including artificial hormones, blood pressure modifiers, and physical pumps. Because of the increased risks of side effects with other treatments, many men prefer the P-Shot to treat their sexual health concerns.

Realizing My Potential for Enhanced Performance

I never thought I had any real issues with my performance or sexual health. Everything seemed fine—no complaints from me or anyone else. Like most men, I figured the occasional “off day” was just part of life. Enhancing performance? Not on my radar.

That changed when a doctor friend of mine casually handed me a few performance-enhancing pills one day. Just for fun, I gave them a try—and suddenly, it was like my ordinary performance got upgraded to superhero status. I felt unstoppable. But the effects were temporary, and asking my family doctor for more seemed about as appealing as doing karaoke sober. So, my experiments with “special occasion pills” remained just that: occasional. The dream of a consistent upgrade seemed out of reach—or so I thought.

My name is Mike Twilley, CEO and Founder of Lowcountry Male, and this is my story—a journey that continues to inspire our mission to help men unlock their full potential.

Discovering the P-Shot

Fast-forward a few years. After selling my business in Dallas, my wife and I moved to Charleston, and I started exploring new opportunities. That’s when I discovered the world of men’s health—weight loss, hormone optimization, hair restoration, and sexual health. One procedure, in particular, caught my attention: the P-Shot.

Initially, it didn’t sound that exciting. It was marketed as a solution for Peyronie’s disease and erectile dysfunction. Neither applied to me, so I almost dismissed it. But then I learned more—and what I found changed everything.

How the P-Shot Works

The P-Shot uses your own platelet-rich plasma (PRP), extracted from your blood and injected into the caverns that pump blood into the penis. This stimulates tissue regeneration, boosts blood flow, and even activates stem cells. A clinic staff member summed it up for me like this: “Think of it as an upgrade that improves strength, size, and overall performance.”

You can probably guess what caught my attention there.

My Personal Experience with the P-Shot

I decided to take the plunge and flew to Beverly Hills for the procedure. Was I nervous? Absolutely. Needles and that particular body part aren’t usually two things you’d want to pair. But the staff was great, and with numbing cream and a nerve block, I didn’t feel a thing. Before I knew it, my PRP was doing its thing, and my journey to the ultimate upgrade had begun.

Post-procedure, they handed me a medical-grade vacuum device to use at home to optimize blood flow and enhance the results. Using it felt like physical therapy for my new and improved equipment. Unconventional? Sure. But effective? Absolutely.

The results were impressive. My confidence skyrocketed, my performance was better than ever, and those occasional “off days” became a thing of the past. It turns out some of those issues weren’t in my head—they were related to blood flow, and the P-Shot fixed it.

Bringing This Innovation to the Carolinas

After seeing the impact this had on my life, I knew I had to share it with others. That’s how Lowcountry Male was born. We’ve since expanded to locations in the Charlotte Metro Area, Greenville, Charleston, and Spartanburg, offering cutting-edge treatments to help men feel their best.

The P-Shot isn’t just about fixing problems; it’s about empowerment and confidence. Whether it’s through this procedure, hormone optimization, or weight loss programs, our goal is to help men live life on their own terms.

Discover Your Potential with Lowcountry Male

Lowcountry Male offers a full suite of services tailored to help men take control of their health, confidence, and well-being. Whether it’s through innovative procedures like the P-Shot, hormone optimization, weight loss programs, or hair restoration treatments, we’re here to provide expert care in a supportive, professional environment. Is the P Shot Right for Me?

5 Common Questions About the P-Shot

Sexual health is pivotal in defining a man’s overall well-being and quality of life. Unfortunately, sexual difficulties can lead to frustration, anxiety, and even strained relationships. It’s essential to recognize that these issues are not uncommon.

For men, sexual health encompasses a range of factors, from the ability to achieve and sustain an erection to the sensations and satisfaction experienced during intimate moments. Various factors can affect a man’s sexual function, such as age, stress, medical conditions, and lifestyle choices.

When looking for treatment options, the P Shot is a promising and innovative solution for improving men’s sexual health and addressing these common concerns. To determine if the P Shot is right for you, it’s essential to understand how this treatment option works and its potential benefits.

Here are a few questions you can use to guide your discussion with your physician.

1. What is the P-Shot, and how does it work?

The P-Shot uses natural growth enhancers from your blood to help improve your erections and overall sex life. The shot is designed to increase the firmness and length of erections while helping to improve sexual performance. By relying upon the natural growth factors in your blood, the P-Shot naturally enhances your erections and rejuvenates your sex life, making it one of the most effective male enlargement injections available.

Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP)

Platelet-rich plasma (PRP) is a modern therapeutic approach to treating damaged tissue and injuries. Within our blood, intrinsic agents for natural healing and rejuvenation exist, playing a pivotal role in the restoration process. Through centrifugation, we concentrate the platelets in the plasma, effectively isolating the crucial growth factor responsible for enhancing and repairing damaged or depleted tissue.

2. What conditions or concerns can the P-Shot address?

The P-Shot is often used as a treatment for various sexual, medical, and aesthetic concerns. Here is a list of conditions that the P-Shot may address:

  • Erectile Dysfunction (ED): The P-Shot is primarily known for its potential to improve erectile function by enhancing blood flow to the penis.
  • Peyronie’s Disease: It may help reduce the curvature of the penis associated with Peyronie’s disease, although other treatments are also available.
  • Sexual Performance Enhancement: Some individuals seek the P-Shot to enhance sexual performance, sensitivity, and stamina.
  • Reduced Libido: For those experiencing decreased sexual desire, the P-Shot might help by increasing sensation and desire.
  • Size Concerns: Some men pursue the P-Shot to achieve a larger penis size or improve girth.
  • Premature Ejaculation: While not a primary treatment for premature ejaculation, some individuals have reported improvements in ejaculatory control after receiving the P-Shot.
  • Post-Radiation Therapy Effects: For individuals who have undergone radiation therapy for prostate cancer and experience sexual side effects, the P-Shot might be considered part of a comprehensive treatment plan.
  • General Sexual Wellness: Some men opt for the P-Shot to enhance their overall sexual wellness and satisfaction.
  • Aesthetic Enhancement: Apart from its functional benefits, some individuals seek the P-Shot for cosmetic reasons, hoping to achieve a more youthful appearance of the penis.

3. What are the potential benefits of the P-Shot?

Enhanced Erectile Function

One of the primary reasons individuals seek the P-Shot is to improve their erectile function. PRP’s regenerative properties are believed to improve blood flow and tissue health in the penis, potentially leading to firmer and longer-lasting erections.

Improved Sensation

Some men report heightened sensitivity and improved sexual pleasure following the P-Shot. The rejuvenating effects of PRP may contribute to increased sensation during sexual activity.

Non-Surgical Approach

Unlike invasive surgical procedures, the P-Shot is a minimally invasive option that requires only a simple blood draw, PRP preparation, and injections. This appeals to individuals seeking alternatives to surgery.

Minimal Downtime

Recovery time after the P-Shot is relatively short, allowing patients to resume their daily activities soon after the procedure.

4. Is the P-Shot a one-time treatment, or will I need multiple sessions?

The need for multiple sessions of the P-Shot can vary from person to person. In many cases, it is not a one-time treatment. The effectiveness and duration of results may depend on individual factors, including the initial condition being treated, the patient’s response to the treatment, and their overall health. Typically, individuals may require a series of P-Shot injections spaced over several months to achieve and maintain the desired results.

5. Can the P-shot be combined with other treatments or therapies for erectile dysfunction?

The P-shot (Priapus Shot) can often be combined with other treatments or therapies for erectile dysfunction (ED) as part of a comprehensive approach to addressing this condition. However, it’s crucial to discuss this with your healthcare provider to ensure that any combination of treatments is safe and suitable for your needs. Common combinations may include pairing the P-shot with oral medications to enhance their effectiveness, using a vacuum erection device (VED) alongside the P-shot, or incorporating lifestyle modifications such as improved diet and exercise. Testosterone replacement therapy (TRT) can also be combined with the P-shot if low testosterone levels contribute to ED.

Experience the Powerful Effects of the P-Shot for Yourself

Are you tired of feeling less than your best in the bedroom? Don’t let performance issues hold you back any longer! It’s time to reclaim control of your sexual health, boost your confidence, and reignite the spark in your intimate life.

How to Use Supplements to Treat Peyronie’s Disease Naturally

Choosing the Best Supplements for Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie’s disease can be a challenging and discomforting condition, affecting both your physical and emotional well-being. Fortunately, as medical research continues to evolve, a growing body of evidence suggests that certain supplements may play a significant role in managing the symptoms and promoting overall penile health.

There are a variety of Peyronie’s disease treatments available to you. In this post, we’ll delve into the world of Peyronie’s disease and explore five of the best supplements that have gained attention for their potential effectiveness in addressing this condition.

What is Peyronie’s Disease?

One of the most significant disorders to be aware of following penile trauma is Peyronie’s disease. Peyronies is a condition affecting the connective tissues of the penile region and is often caused by vigorous sex but also by sports injuries or other types of trauma.

There are various Peyronies disease symptoms. The most visibly noticeable symptom is a curving or indentation of the penis. Typically, these irregularities are often visible both when erect and when flaccid. Other symptoms include, but are not limited to, hard lumps, pain during intercourse, and ED.

Contrary to popular belief, this is not a self-curing disease. Instead, the earlier you receive the treatment, the better. With proper treatment, symptoms can decrease, and the condition can be prevented from deteriorating further over time. So, how do you treat this disease? In most instances, surgery is the preferred option. Still, there are some steps you can take at home to alleviate the symptoms and prevent them from worsening.

5 of the Best Supplements for Peyronie’s Disease

5 of the Best Supplements for Peyronie’s Disease Managing Peyronie’s disease can be challenging, as it is associated with surgical risks and often leads to erectile dysfunction. However, some natural remedies can alleviate the symptoms and prevent the progression of the disease altogether.  Here are five of the best supplements for Peyronie’s disease that can help you regain a sense of normalcy.

1. Vitamin E

Use of Vitamin E supplements may benefit the early stages of Peyronie’s disease, namely those within the first six months to one year. Known for its antioxidant properties, this vitamin can neutralize any aging or tissue damage resulting from this condition. Similarly, due to its antioxidant properties, it can also help in wound healing. Men can ingest the vitamin in vegetable oils; however, a concentrated supplement is available over the counter.

2. Omega 3 Fatty Acid

Omega-3 fatty acids have anti-inflammatory properties similar to NSAIDs and can alleviate pain and discomfort for those with Peyronies disease. Furthermore, you can find this healthy fat in fish, but for optimal absorption, the concentrated form can be purchased over the counter.

3. Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitors (PDE-5 Inhibitors)

PDE-5 Inhibitors, also known as Phosphodiesterase Type 5 Inhibitors and often used to treat erectile dysfunction (ED), have also been found to have some effect on the progression of Peyronie’s disease. Studies have shown that this medication can enhance sexual performance, correct angularity, and decrease the size of the plaque caused by Peyronie’s. It is one of the most effective non-surgical treatments for Peyronie’s, with a prescription obtainable after a diagnosis of Peyronie’s or erectile dysfunction. Related: Improve Your Sex Drive at a Low Libido Clinic

4. L-Arginine

In conjunction with PDE-5 inhibitors, L-Arginine supplementation also provides pain relief as both work together to counteract Peyronie’s symptoms. Studies show that individuals who use this method experience a significant reduction in pain and increased functionality.

5. Pentoxifylline (PTX)

One of the most successful non-surgical treatments for Peyronie’s disease, Pentoxifylline, or PTX, helps to treat penile fibrosis and is anti-inflammatory. Additionally, this is one of the only natural ways to improve curvature. You’re able to administer PTX intravenously or orally to combat symptoms and prevent disease progression.

Supplements and vitamins can be beneficial in several ways. To learn more about how vitamins and minerals can boost your sex drive, read our post, The Top 7 Best Vitamins for Sex Drive.

What To Do When Natural Supplements Are Not Enough?

When natural supplements fail, exploring additional medical interventions or therapies under professional guidance may be necessary. One of the most common treatment options is The Priapus Shot.

The Priapus Shot (The P-Shot)

The Priapus Shot, also known as the P-shot, is a medical procedure that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) to enhance sexual function and treat certain conditions related to male sexual health. PRP is a component of blood that contains a high concentration of growth factors and other bioactive proteins. This innovative therapy increases circulation, which in turn increases sexual pleasure, with the possibility of increasing girth and length.

How the P-Shot Works

1. Blood Collection

If PRP therapy is deemed appropriate, a small sample of your blood is drawn, much like a routine blood test. This blood sample serves as the raw material for creating the platelet-rich plasma.

2. Processing of Blood Sample

We then process the drawn blood in a specialized centrifuge machine. The centrifuge spins the blood at high speeds, separating its components based on density. This process isolates and concentrates the platelets, growth factors, and other beneficial bioactive substances present in the plasma.

3. Preparation of PRP

Next, once the PRP is separated and concentrated, we then carefully extract it from the centrifuge and prepare for injection. The resulting PRP is a golden-hued solution rich in regenerative factors.

4. Numbing and Injection

Before we inject the PRP, we apply a local anesthetic or numbing cream to the treatment area to ensure your comfort. Then the PRP is strategically injected into specific areas of the penis, targeting the tissues and structures that contribute to erectile function and overall penile health.

5. Stimulation of Tissue Healing

The growth factors and bioactive compounds in the PRP stimulate tissue healing, repair, and regeneration. This process encourages the development of new blood vessels, the synthesis of collagen, and the enhancement of tissue responsiveness. This type of PRP therapy successfully treats Peyronie’s and lasts between a year and 18 months. It can work seamlessly with any ED medications and repair damage and incontinence.

How to Become a Better Man: Sexual Health Treatments

Discover the Most Effective Sexual Health Treatments for a Satisfying Intimate Life

A dysfunctional sex life will almost automatically put a strain on your romantic relationships. While the occasional mishap in the bedroom is completely normal, reoccurring issues shouldn’t be taken lightly. As a man, getting your sexual health in check should be one of your main priorities since poor sexual performance can be an indicator of an underlying health problem. Over time, your performance can also lead to low self-esteem. The good news is that sexual health treatments can correct most issues in time. Learn more about the common sexual health problems you may encounter as a man, the signs and symptoms to watch for, and available sexual health treatments if necessary.

Common Men’s Sexual Health Problems

Understanding the various challenges that can affect men’s sexual health is essential for maintaining overall well-being. Let’s delve into some of the common men’s sexual health problems and their associated symptoms.

1. Low Libido or Reduced Sex Drive

Low libido, often referred to as reduced sex drive, is a condition characterized by a notable decrease in the desire for sexual activity. It can affect men of all ages and is influenced by various factors, including physical, psychological, and hormonal changes. Stress, relationship issues, medication side effects, and underlying medical conditions can all contribute to this issue. Low libido can impact one’s self-esteem and overall quality of life, making it essential to identify its causes and explore potential treatments or lifestyle adjustments to restore a healthy and satisfying sex life.

2. Premature Ejaculation

Premature ejaculation (PE) is a common sexual issue in which a man reaches orgasm and ejaculates earlier than desired during sexual intercourse. It often occurs with minimal sexual stimulation and can lead to distress or dissatisfaction for both partners. PE can have various causes, including psychological factors like anxiety or relationship issues, as well as physical factors such as heightened sensitivity or altered nerve signaling.

3. Erectile Dysfunction

Erectile Dysfunction (ED) is the inability to get an erection. The severity of this condition can come in many forms. Some men may not be able to get an erection every once in a while, while others may not be able to at all. Sadly, it’s estimated that one in 10 adult males suffer from erectile dysfunction. Common symptoms of erectile dysfunction (ED) include:

  • Difficulty achieving or maintaining an erection
  • Reduced rigidity of erections
  • Inconsistent ability to achieve or sustain erections
  • Decreased sexual desire or interest
  • Anxiety, stress, or frustration related to sexual performance
  • Lack of morning erections
  • Relationship issues or dissatisfaction due to sexual difficulties
  • Psychological distress or lowered self-esteem as a result of ED

Erectile dysfunction has several triggers. Illnesses such as certain vascular diseases may block blood supply to the penis and cause ED symptoms. Fear of not performing well and high amounts of stress can all negatively affect how you perform. While smoking, alcohol, and a lack of exercise can also lead to difficulties in bed.

4. Peyronie’s Disease

Peyronie’s disease is a buildup of scar tissue underneath the penile skin that causes a bend or curve. Erections with Peyronie’s can be extremely painful, often preventing men from having sex altogether. If left untreated, this condition will gradually worsen over time. Common symptoms to look out for include:

  • Penile Curvature
  • Penile Pain
  • Plaque Formation
  • Erectile Dysfunction
  • Shortening of the Penis
  • Penile Deformities

Learn More: How to Use Supplements to Treat Peyronie’s Disease Naturally

Unfortunately, the causes of Peyronie’s are not fully understood. Repeated injury to the penis seems to be a common culprit, such as damage during sex or athletic activity.

5. Low Testosterone

Testosterone levels steadily decrease as you age, but certain lifestyle factors can force levels to change severely. Cancer and cancer treatments, damage to the testicles, certain infections, autoimmune diseases, and obesity can result in an imbalance of hormones. Correcting low testosterone, or Low-T, can significantly change how you feel as a man and keep certain health conditions at bay.

Low-T can look different from man to man, but overall, you will likely notice these symptoms

  • A dip in your sex drive
  • Reduced erectile function

Effective Sexual Health Treatments to Consider

While these conditions can lead to feelings of frustration, anxiety, and uncertainty, it’s important to remember that there are effective treatments available. Here, we outline our approach to addressing these conditions, aiming to empower you with the tools you need to enhance your sexual well-being and lead a more satisfying romantic life.

1. Medication for Erectile Dysfunction

The good news is ED is generally treatable with prescription medication. Our medical providers recommend Viagra (sildenafil) and Cialis (tadalafil) to treat symptoms. Viagra is a common ED medication that can help erections last anywhere from three to four hours and should be taken immediately before sexual intercourse. Cialis, on the other hand, can be taken as a daily medication to improve blood flow to the penis and allow for erections to happen more naturally. Depending on your circumstances, you may be prescribed one over the other.

In addition to medication, we may also look into hormone treatment and other natural remedies to ensure positive results.

2. Shockwave Therapy for Peyronie’s Disease

A successful treatment for Peyronie’s is Shockwave Therapy. It is a non-invasive procedure that emits pulses of acoustic waves directly into the genitals. This process opens up existing blood vessels while encouraging new vessels to grow. Treatment is able to stimulate blood flow and reduce the size of plaque and penile pain by a significant amount.

Treatment sessions typically last 30 minutes and rarely require anesthesia or numbing cream. Depending on the severity of your condition, your provider may recommend a certain number of treatment sessions in order to see improvement.

3. Therapy for Low Testosterone

We target low testosterone levels by utilizing several different treatments, including injections, pellets, and topical gels. Depending on your lifestyle and needs, your provider will create a custom treatment administration plan.

Injections

  • A great starting point for low-t treatment is injections, as they can be done at home. A simple injection once per week can do wonders for changing low levels of testosterone.

Pellets

  • Pellets are a more involved treatment, consisting of testosterone pellets inserted into fatty tissue. This is done in-office by your provider at least three to four times per year.

Topical Gels

  • Gels are a prescription topical that must be applied once per day across several areas of the body. Its ease of use is preferred by most patients.

4. The Priapus Shot for Erections

The P Shot is an injection that enhances erections, along with circulation, plus penile girth and length. Using your body’s own platelets, plasma is injected into the penis to encourage the growth factors in your blood to promote firmer and longer-lasting erections

A single injection can last about one year and, evidently, increase your sexual pleasure and confidence. Likewise, the O Shot for women functions in a similar way, and it’s often recommended that partners both receive injections for maximum results.

Everything You Need to Know About the P-Shot: Boost Your Sexual Health with Lowcountry Male

The Ultimate Guide to the Priapus Shot: Enhance Your Sexual Health with Lowcountry Male

If you’re a man over 40 struggling with sexual dysfunction or low testosterone, you’re not alone. These issues can be caused by a variety of factors, including age, stress, and certain medical conditions. Fortunately, there are innovative treatments available to help you regain your sexual health and vitality, such as the Priapus Shot (P-Shot).

At Lowcountry Male, we specialize in men’s sexual health and wellness. We understand that sexual dysfunction can be a sensitive and challenging issue for men, and we’re here to help. In this article, we’ll cover everything you need to know about the P-Shot, including its benefits, the procedure, and the results you can expect. So, let’s get started.

What is the P-Shot?

The P-Shot is a safe and effective treatment that uses platelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy to improve sexual function and enhance overall well-being. PRP is derived from your own blood and contains a high concentration of growth factors that can stimulate tissue repair and regeneration. When injected into the penis, the PRP can increase blood flow, sensitivity, and size, leading to improved erections, better performance, and enhanced sexual pleasure –– ultimately improving your confidence and self-esteem.

Benefits of the P-Shot

There are many benefits to receiving the P-Shot, including:

  1. Improved sexual function: Can help improve erectile dysfunction and enhance sexual performance by increasing blood flow to the penis.
  2. Increased size and girth: Can increase the size and girth of the penis, leading to enhanced sexual pleasure for both you and your partner.
  3. Enhanced sensitivity: Can increase sensitivity and sensation in the penis, leading to more intense and satisfying orgasms.
  4. Improved appearance: The P-Shot can also improve the appearance of the penis by correcting issues such as Peyronie’s disease, which causes curvature of the penis.

Take Our Low T Quiz

Think you may be suffering from low testosterone levels? Take our Low-T quiz today to determine if you may benefit from the P-shot or any of our other services.

What to Expect During the Procedure

The P-Shot procedure is usually completed within 30 minutes, and it involves the following steps:

  1. Consultation and Preparation: Before the treatment, the healthcare provider will review your medical history, symptoms, and expectations. They may also conduct a physical exam and blood tests to ensure you’re a suitable candidate for the P-Shot. If you’re eligible, the provider will clean your penis and apply a topical anesthetic cream to reduce discomfort.
  2. Blood Collection: The provider will draw a small amount of blood from your arm using a sterile needle and syringe. The blood will then be placed in a centrifuge, a machine that separates the plasma and platelets from the other components of the blood.
  3. Plasma Injection: After the plasma and platelets have been concentrated, the provider will inject the solution into the shaft and head of your penis using a fine needle. The injection sites may vary depending on your specific needs and preferences. The provider may also massage the penis to distribute the solution evenly and improve blood flow.
  4. Recovery and Follow-up: After the injection, you may experience swelling, bruising, or soreness in the penis. You may also need to refrain from sexual activity or strenuous exercise for a few days to allow the tissues to heal. The provider will give you specific instructions on how to care for your penis and when to schedule a follow-up visit to evaluate the results.

Results and Benefits of the P-Shot

The P-Shot can provide numerous benefits for men who struggle with erectile dysfunction, low libido, or other sexual issues. The following are some of the potential benefits of the P-Shot:

  1. Improved Erection Quality: By enhancing blood flow and tissue regeneration in the penis, the P-Shot can increase the firmness, duration, and frequency of erections. This can improve the quality of your sexual experiences and boost your confidence and self-esteem.
  2. Increased Sensitivity and Pleasure: The P-Shot can also improve the sensitivity and responsiveness of the penis by stimulating nerve growth and regeneration. This can enhance your ability to feel pleasure and achieve orgasms.
  3. Enhanced Size and Appearance: Some men may notice a slight increase in the length, girth, and overall appearance of their penis after the P-Shot. This can also contribute to their sexual satisfaction and confidence.
  4. Long-lasting Results: While the duration of the effects may vary depending on individual factors and habits, many men report that the benefits of the P-Shot can last for up to 18 months or more. This means that you can enjoy sustained improvements in your sexual health and wellness without the need for frequent treatments or medications.

Is the P-Shot Right for You?

While the P-Shot can provide significant benefits for many men, it’s not a suitable solution for everyone. The following are some of the factors that may affect your eligibility for the P-Shot:

  • Underlying medical conditions such as diabetes, heart disease, or bleeding disorders
  • History of penile trauma or surgery
  • Allergies or sensitivities to local anesthetics or plasma
  • Use of blood-thinning medications or supplements
  • Current or past infections in the genital area

To determine whether the P-Shot is right for you, it’s essential to consult with an experienced healthcare provider who can evaluate your individual needs and risks. At Lowcountry Male, our providers are dedicated to helping you achieve optimal sexual health and wellness through personalized and evidence-based treatments. We can answer any questions you may have about the P-Shot or any of our other services and guide you toward the best course of action.

Tips for Preserving and Revitalizing Your Sex Drive

At What Age Do Men Lose Their Sex Drive?

Testosterone is essential for the production of energy, muscle mass, and sexual reproduction in men, making it a key factor in the stimulation of sexual desire. This raises the following question: how does this affect one’s sexual drive over time? At what age do men lose their sex drive? A number of factors are involved in determining libido levels and maintaining healthy levels.

Read on to discover the ins and outs of the male sex drive and how to revitalize it.

What is a Sex Drive?

So, what exactly is a sex drive? Essentially, libido, or sex drive, is the desire to engage in sexual activities. As libido is influenced both by mental and physical factors, it is normal for it to vary from person to person. An occasional fluctuation in libido is perfectly normal, but a persistently low sex drive may indicate an underlying problem.

Risk Factors and Considerations

There can be many reasons why you experience a decline of sex drive. Anxiety and depression, for example, may inhibit your desire to be intimate with your partner. You may also experience a decrease in your sex drive when you consume excessive amounts of alcohol or smoke. As a result of these substances, your body may be affected in a variety of ways, including decreased levels of sex drive, a decline in heart, lung, and liver health, and can even result in erectile dysfunction, among other things.

It may be difficult for some patients to discuss their sexual concerns with their doctors, but there are a variety of treatments available for a lack of sexual drive, so it is worthwhile to speak with your doctor about this issue.

One of the most important factors contributing to poor sexual performance in men is low testosterone levels. Testosterone is a male sex hormone that plays an integral role in regulating sexual drive, sperm production, body mass, energy levels, and mood. When it comes to testosterone, over time the levels tend to fluctuate, decreasing with age.

As a result, the question arises: at what age do a men lose their sex drive? With the decline in testosterone and other factors associated with aging, a decline in sex drive can occur. The good news is that there are several treatments available for men experiencing this problem. Now that we have identified the definition and some of the causes for a low sex drive, let’s look at a few tips for preserving and revitalizing your sex drive.

Tips for Preserving and Revitalizing Your Sex Drive

You should consider your overall health and any underlying cause of a decline in sexual desire, such as a hormonal imbalance, when trying to revitalize and maintain your sex drive. To help you and your partner keep things fresh, here is a collection of tips to rejuvenate and sustain your sex drive.

Consult Your Doctor

Your physician will be able to help you with structural and hormonal issues that may affect your libido. Moreover, your doctor may be able to suggest alternatives if any of the medicines you are taking are causing a decrease in your libido. In addition, they may be able to detect undiagnosed medical conditions such as diabetes, high blood pressure, and hypothyroidism, which can all affect sexual function. It may be difficult for some patients to discuss their sexual concerns with their doctors, but there are a variety of treatments available for a loss of sexual drive, so it is worthwhile to speak with your doctor about this issue.

Get Fit

In addition to alleviating the stagnation associated with poor sexual response, regular exercise reduces stress and improves your body image, both of which will increase your confidence. Some men feel more energetic for sex after exercising because exercise increases blood flow and stimulates the nervous system. Therefore, it can be beneficial to do 30 minutes of cardio or yoga before bedtime to increase your sexual energy.

Try Supplements

Due to its ability to increase blood flow through the genitals, L-Arginine is commonly effective for everyone and can be taken in pill form. An increase in blood flow can enhance the performance of an erection in men. Moreover, low libido may be caused by nutritional deficiencies, which may be treated with a daily multivitamin. Iron deficiency can lead to fatigue, whereas low levels of other nutrients can cause hormonal imbalances, which are also detrimental to sex drives.

Hormone Replacement Therapy

In order to enhance testosterone levels in men, testosterone therapy is commonly used. It can be administered in a variety of ways. In order to achieve a longer-lasting effect, testosterone pellet therapy involves inserting the pellets within the fatty tissue for a period of four to six months. In addition to restoring sexual drive, testosterone replacement therapy will boost energy levels, reduce body fat, and improve mental performance.

P-Shot

A safe and natural treatment option for men experiencing low libido is the Priapus Shot, or P-Shot. The P-Shot enhances the penis and restores sexual drive. The process promotes cellular regeneration and the development of new blood vessels by using the platelet-rich plasma present in your own blood. As a result, you’ll experience a higher sex drive and more satisfying erections.

How to Manage Mismatched Sex Drives in Your Relationship

Aligning Yours and Your Partner’s Mismatched Sex Drives

It doesn’t matter your age, gender, or sexuality, new partners simply cannot keep their hands off each other. Although in the beginning you may have a boosted libido or sex drive, that may seem to wear off the further you get in your relationship. This isn’t an uncommon trend to see in sexual relationships. It’s possible that you and your partner don’t always agree on the best times, places, or methods for engaging in sexual activity. This is referred to as having mismatched sex drives. Fixing how you approach this problem is your responsibility as well as your partner’s. Let’s dive into how you can better manage yours and your partner’s sex drives.

What It Means to Have Mismatched Sex Drives

Sex drive, often known as libido, is a feature of a person’s sexuality and it varies among all people. An average libido does not exist. Everyone has an unique degree of excitement and urge for sex, which might alter throughout a sexual relationship resulting in mismatched sex drives.

When one individual has a differing sexual desire than their lover, it is referred to as a sex drive mismatch. There are many factors that come into play with your sex drive and how it can affect your relationship. Let’s explore some of those factors below.

Individual Factors

Some internal elements that could have an impact on sex drive are the degree of enticement or attraction between the partners, a change in a person’s sexual urges, and recognizing that sexual urges may also be significantly impacted by exhaustion, stress, or other personal anxieties that may affect a person’s libido.

Interpersonal Factors

In the scenario of an ongoing or long-term partnership, features that may present themselves are the level of romantic interest and the range of pleasure that you find in your partner, apparent compatibility personally, physiologically, and sexually, and the familiarity and receptivity of the partnership, meaning that overfamiliarity or outside needs not being met can have an impact on one’s sex drive.

Medical Factors

The desire for sex may be impacted by medical aspects. Hormones greatly influence sex drives as testerone levels may start to change as you grow older. Some men may discover they are less interested in sex as a result. Certain medications including antidepressants or beta-blockers may also cause an adverse effect on sex drive and libido. Finally, achieving and maintaining an erection can be difficult if you struggle with erectile dysfunction and it may inhibit you and/or your partner’s sexual desire.

Related: How to Prevent Erectile Dysfunction

Societal Factors

Certain expectations from society could also affect yours and your partner’s sexual activity including sexual views that may be considered “forbidden” or “taboo” that you may feel ashamed to experience, gender standards and how they reveal in sexual incidents, and the demand for both partners to contribute equally in sexual activities.

Enhancing Your Relationship’s Sex Drive

There’s a number of treatments that can help you and your partner better align your sex drive and enhancing your libido overall. Below you will find some options you can take to better align yours and your partner’s sex drive.

Communication is Key

Although talking about sex can be challenging, particularly when there is a libido mismatch, it is essential. Communicating will lead to a better understanding from respectfully discussing each other’s emotions, uncertainties, wants, and the cause of the decreased desire.

Keep in mind that empathy and openness are important components of compromise. Even if your sex desires are different, a successful relationship may be maintained by being honest with your companion and working together on how to move forward.

Also, keep communication wide open with your healthcare provider. Together, you may find that medical treatment is the next step in aligning mismatched sex drives.

Treatment Options

There are various vitamin supplements and hormone therapies you can explore to better boost your sex drive.

For starters, you can try an assortment of vitamins to raise your libido. Specifically, vitamin B3 gives your body energy and helps circulate blood flow allowing for longer-lasting erections.  Magnesium lowers your stress and keeps testosterone in the bloodstream, increasing your sex drive and allowing for a pleasant time. Finally, vitamin D has been shown to increase serotonin levels and lower feelings of depression which can naturally help boost your sex drive.

If you require more extensive treatment, maybe you should consider a priapus shot, also well-known as a P-Shot, or testosterone replacement therapy. The P-Shot, a risk-free and all-natural technique, stimulates your penis and revitalizes your sex drive by encouraging cell renewal and the formation of new blood vessels to allow for stronger erections. Testosterone replacement therapy is also a safe and easy option as you can externally apply it to your body or inject it into your muscles.

Low Sex Drive in Men: Treatments, Tips, & More

Learn How to Improve Sex Drive at a Low Libido Clinic

Libido, or sex drive, refers to one’s desire to engage in sexual activities. It is natural for libido to vary from person to person as it is influenced by both mental and physical factors. Libido also tends to slowly decrease with age; however, most men maintain a level of sexual interest well past the age of 60. In addition to age, hormones, brain function, and learned behavior all play a part in contributing to one’s sex drive.

Although an occasionally fluctuating libido is completely normal, having a consistently low sex drive can be the result of an underlying cause. Not to mention, it can also cause a myriad of issues in your personal life. Relationship difficulties, stress, and anxiety can all stem from a low sex drive.

If you struggle with little to no sexual desire, continue reading for more information about how to improve your symptoms with the help of a low libido clinic.

What Causes Low Libido?

Low libido can result from the following personal issues, lifestyle factors, and underlying health conditions.

1. Mental Health Issues

As mentioned above, low libido can be a symptom of mental health issues. Depression and anxiety, for example, may inhibit your desire to be intimate with your partner. To make matters worse, low libido is a common side effect of many of the medications commonly used to treat depression and anxiety. If you believe medication may be the root cause of your low sex drive, it is important to speak to your physician regarding this concern.

In addition to mental illness, personal struggles and chronic stress may be contributing to your lack of sexual desire. Chronic stress suppresses sex hormones, thus resulting in difficulty in the bedroom. Stressful jobs and unresolved relationship issues may also be subconsciously causing you to steer away from sexual activities.

2. Lifestyle Factors

Other lifestyle factors may play a role in decreasing your sex drive, including drinking excess amounts of alcohol and smoking cigarettes. Both of these habits can negatively impact libido as well as lead to erectile dysfunction

Additionally, scientific studies have shown that being overweight plays a role in sexual dysfunction. This is because excess body fat limits blood flow to the genitals, which can make it difficult to get in the mood and produce an erection.

3. Low Testosterone

Last but certainly not least, one of the main culprits for poor sexual performance in men is low testosterone. A male sex hormone, testosterone plays an important role in regulating sex drive, sperm production, body mass, energy levels, and even mood. However, testosterone levels tend to decline by 1% each year, beginning when a man reaches his thirties. Although this is completely normal, if your levels drop too low, it can cause a number of distressing issues, including low libido. That’s why, if you are suffering from a low sex drive, getting your testosterone levels checked is of utmost importance.

3 Treatments for Low Libido in Men

1. Testosterone Replacement Therapy

If low testosterone is the root cause of your dwindling sex drive, there are options available to help bring your levels back to normal. Testosterone therapy is commonly used to improve low testosterone in men and can be administered in a variety of ways. Testosterone can be injected into a muscle once a week at home or applied topically to the wrist, inner arms, or abdomen daily. For a longer-lasting approach, testosterone pellet therapy involves inserting testosterone pellets within fatty tissue, typically lasting four to six months on average.

Following testosterone replacement therapy, your sex drive should return, and you may notice other benefits as well, including boosted energy levels, reduced body fat, maximized mental function, and more.

2. P-Shot

Another treatment available to men experiencing low libido is the Priapus Shot, or “P-Shot.” A safe and natural procedure, the P-Shot enhances your penis and rejuvenates your sex drive. It works by using the platelet-rich plasma in your own blood to promote cellular regeneration and the development of new blood vessels. The result is an increased sex drive and more pleasurable erections.

When receiving the P-Shot, you can rest assured that it is completely safe as platelet-rich plasma is extracted from your own blood. The needle used during the procedure is extremely thin, so pain is not typically a complaint of patients. The procedure takes approximately 30 minutes and requires no downtime — you can even engage in sexual activities that same night! Although some patients notice improvements immediately, most men see the most improvement one to three months after treatment.

3. Healthy Lifestyle Changes

In addition to treatments, there are a few lifestyle changes you can make to help get your libido back on track and improve your overall health. First and foremost, we recommend men dealing with low sex drive stop smoking and limit alcohol to just a few drinks per week. Next, it is important to take steps to mitigate stress and reduce anxiety to improve your mental health.

In addition to improving your general well-being, reaching a healthy weight can help you maintain a functioning libido by improving blood flow throughout the body. If you struggle to lose weight through diet and exercise alone, there are treatments available to help you reach your goals. At Lowcountry Male, we offer a variety of weight loss medications, such as phentermine and Semaglutide/GLP-1, to help you reach a healthy body composition. That way, you don’t have to worry about your weight getting in the way of your sex life!

As one of the top low libido clinics in the Carolinas, we at Lowcountry Male are committed to revitalizing the sex lives of men. So, if you have been dealing with sexual performance issues, it is important to seek help and get to the bottom of the problem.
